The sediment map classifies, according to the “folk_5” classification found in the Seabed Substrate data product from EMODnet Geology (2019), sediments into: “Sand”, “Mud to muddy Sand”, “Mixed sediments”, “coarse-type sediments” and “Rock & boulders”. The sediments were reclassified into “Low”, “Medium” and “High” as input for the spatial discrimination of the potential for mineral (sand) extraction ES in the Lithuanian EEZ. • EMODnet Geology, 2019.
